Engineering Projects in Community Service (EPICS) is a student-run organization that partners with the local community to develop meaningful, real-world solutions. We provide hands-on opportunities for students to work on real-world solutions that benefit the local community, while also hosting fun and informative events for the UTSA student body.
EPICS students work on real projects with real impact, partnering with organizations like the San Antonio Zoo to developing custom assistive technologies for the local community.
Develop and strengthen leadership, teamwork, technical, and professional outreach skills through hands-on project experience.
Gain valuable professional experience by collaborating with community partners, working on real-world projects, and building skills relevant to industry and graduate school.
EPICS welcomes students from all engineering disciplines to apply their skills on real-world projects that make a difference in the community.
Students from design, business, and creative backgrounds help with prototyping, project planning, outreach, and other essential roles that keep projects running smoothly.
Computer science and tech-focused students contribute through coding and data solutions, and any student with a passion for teamwork and community service is encouraged to join.
